Symposiums, Lectures, Forums & Suggested Events
Past Events
Basics Project conducts events at selected locations around the United States. Each lecture, debate or symposium targets one of the active issues being addressed by the project.

The lectures provide the public with an opportunity to hear about the history and facts on one of the active issues being addressed by the project from experts in that field. Speakers are compensated in part through ticket sales. The general public – as well as members – are welcome.

The forums feature a balanced panel of experts and advocates from all viewpoints of the issue and are moderated. Locations for these debates include college campuses although community outlets and larger venues are utilized if the public response warrants. Speakers are compensated in part through ticket sales. The general public – as well as members – are welcome.

The symposiums utilize the fact-based knowledge of invited speakers, as well as regional, national and international experts on the issue being addressed, and incorporates information acquired through Basics Project’s research.
