Basics Project produces a series of expanding educational
audio and video CDs on what we feel are the three most critical issues
facing our country today: radical Islam, the American Fifth Column and our
nation's delinquency in understanding the principles and ideology that led
our Framers and Founders to create the Charters of Freedom. Each series
provides an examination of the basic elements of each subject. The goal of
these series is to create a motivation within our citizenry to seek out
additional information on each issue so that we can engage our elected
officials from an informed and intellectual vantage point. By educating
ourselves on the "basics," we can properly satisfy our civic responsibility
while providing the proper oversight of our government officials.
The beginning of the end of
Planet Earth occurred on September 27, 1991, when President George H.W. Bush
announced that the United States would withdraw its nuclear weapons from
NATO sites throughout the western world if the Soviet Union would follow
suit. Soviet president Mikhail Gorbachev agreed and a deadline was set. The
task was to be completed by May 1992. Withdrawing the tactical nuclear
weapons in order to place them in secured places seemed to be a great idea
that no one in his right mind could oppose. But truth be told, it was a
horrendous mistake. The Beginning of the End: The American Hiroshima
examines how nuclear proliferation to Islamist terror groups was facilitated
by the fall of the Soviet Union.
